Day 1 - 9:05
[Enter from Courtyard]

Elektra opened the door to the language arts room, cautiously stepping inside and closing the door behind her. She sits down at one of the desks next to some other patients. Fortunately, the language arts teacher hasn't started class yet, so she isn't counted as tardy. The class was starting a new unit today, she remembered. Elektra wondered what they would be 'learning' now. Most of the interesting books were banned, due to them being 'dangerous' or 'melancholy' in tone. Hopefully the new unit would be somewhat interesting.

Day 1
Enter from Girl's Dorm

Lexi and Judith skip into their Sophomore Lit class, giggling cheerfully. They both grab their textbooks from the bookshelf plop down into adjacent chairs in the first row. Lexi flips to page 251 in her book, to Act I Scene II of The Taming of the Shrew. She stares down at the page. She already knows what's going to happen in this book. Her eight grade class had read it, back before Elaine was discovered to be not only herself. They had all hated that book. They had found Katherine to be a far more sympathetic character than Bianca, and had absolutely despised Petruchio. None of them are really looking forward to rereading the book. In fact, at the moment, there is quite an internal debate raging about who should have to. No one wants to, but Helen is even more wearu than the others.

'If anything goes wrong,' she says, 'we will end up with a Kate on our hands. We already have a faint fragment growing from the last time we were forced to read it.'

By the end of class, Lexi can barely think. Everything inside is swirling chaotically. Sissy is close, too close. The class hated Katherine, thought she deserved to be humiliated and beat down. Deserved to have her will broken. Deserved to be destroyed. Lexi finds her hands shaking. All she can think about is Elaine. Elaine used to be strong willed. Used to be brave. Used to be happy. Used to be like Lexi, in fact. Then the bullying began. And Elaine simply hadn't been able to handle it. Where as before, the alters had been her friends, they had been forced into the role of her protectors. What Elaine could not handle, they did. Despite their best efforts, Elaine began to wilt. The parents dying had been the last straw. Now, Elaine was barely holding herself together. In the asylum, she was slowly healing. Slowly, but not quick enough. Did the others here blame her? Think it was her own fault? Think that she deserved it?

"Hey, is something wrong?" Judith asks, looking worried. Lexi forces a smile on her face.

"Naw, everything's fine. Just thinking about how much I'm gonna miss you next period!" Judith grins, though still not looking entirely placated.

"Well, we can still sit together for lunch, right?"

"Course!" Lexi chirps. Lexi has math next period- or, more accurately, Tom does- while Judith has history.

"Well, bye!" And the girls exit the classroom.

Day 1
10:27 AM
Exit to Math

Elektra yawned. She hadn't gotten much sleep last night and was still slightly sleepy. She wished she could simply go back into bed and cover herself so no one would bother her. All that digging had made her exhausted too. Science would wake her up hopefully. The chemistry teacher currently teaching them was a strange one and you never knew what she would do next. Elektra hefted her binders and textbooks, and left the room.

Day 1 - 10:28 AM
[Exit to Science]

[Enter from Math] Drake
Another class, except this one would probably be boring. You can't really prepare for boring really, because it's just so boring, boring. Drake really didn't like LA. It was just a bunch of stuff that he already knew, or a bunch of boring stuff...., boring, boring, boring.
